Ina Garten may be an institution on food television, but TV stardom was never her ambition. A food shop proprietor, self taught cook, and cookbook writer (among other things!), the television stuff found its way into Garten's busy schedule only after she'd found success in more conventional culinary fields. Today, even with numerous seasons and shows in her history, filming and presenting still aren't her favorite tasks, and this stance has affected her relationship with food television giant Food Network, though she did handle the situation with her characteristic grace and charm. Here's why Ina Garten told The Food Network to lose her number.
