Pete Davidson became a household name as a cast member of Saturday Night Live, the long-running network sketch comedy show. Younger than the other cast members by more than a decade, and notably tattooed and youthful, Davidson was often the butt of jokes, but found his footing as a sort of "voice of the younger generation" on the show's famous Weekend Update segments. In the years to come, Davidson would have very public successes, drama, and embarrassments, and apparently this increased the rocky relationship with the program that provided his salary.
