Adele explains Divorce to Son Angelo with Heartbreaking Voice Notes

Adele explains Divorce to Son Angelo with Heartbreaking Voice Notes

Angelo says to his mother that he doesn't feel loved by her.

Adele's song "My Little Love" features a very special person.

The song, which is the third track on her recently released album "30", includes voice notes from the singer and Angelo, her 9-year old son. The heartbreaking audio features Adele talking about her split from Simon Konecki and how it affected her feelings.

Adele tells her son in the first voice note that she loves him. He responds, "I love your a million times."

Angelo tells his mom that he feels like he doesn't love him. Adele questions him: "Why do I feel like that?" Angelo asks Angelo a second question: "Do you like me?" Adele assured him that she doesn't like any other person as much as she likes you.

Adele tries to explain to her son, in the third voice note.

Adele: "Mummy has been feeling a lot of big emotions recently"
Angelo: "Like how?"
Adele: "Just as, mummy. I'm... I'm, that feeling that I have. Like, hm. I feel a little confused."
Angelo: "Why?"
Adele: "I don't know. "I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing."
Angelo: "Oh, at all?"
Adele: "At all"
Angelo: "And then I would go ..."."

Adele shared her feelings in the last voice note with her son. She said that she was grateful for Angelo's arrival, despite the split. "I love your father 'cause you gave me to him. Angelo responds, "Oh!

Adele opens up in the last audio about how she feels as she copes with her divorce. She says she is "really lonely", "stressed", "anxious" "frightened"

Adele states, "I'm having an awful day, and I'm very anxious." "I feel very paranoid, I feel very stressed. Um, I feel very lonely. I have a hangover.

Through tears, she continued: "And I never feel alone, I love being by myself." "I have always preferred being alone to being with people. It seems like I might have been overcompensating. I like to be out and do other things to distract from him."

She adds, "And today I feel like I'm at home. And I want to be at home." "I feel lonely and just want to curl up on the couch and watch TV. It makes me feel scared that this might be something I experience a lot.

The song's bridge features the audio between Adele & Angelo, while Adele's last voice note ends the song in its outro. The chorus and verse include emotional lyrics, as is the norm in Grammy-winning music.

Adele sings the chorus, "I'm holdingin' on (Barely), / Mama has a lot (It's heavier)," "I'm holding on (Catch me), / Mama's got lots to learn (Teach it).

Vogue's November cover story featured the singer of "Easy On Me", who explained why voice notes were chosen. She also revealed that she was influenced by her therapist. She said that the final audio of "My Little Love," was also a voicemail she left for her friend.

"I thought it might have been a nice touch considering that everyone has been at my door the past 10 years as a fan to be like, "Would you like me to come in?" Adele said.

The Oscar winner claimed that "My Little Love" was inspired by Angelo's words.

Adele and Simon Konecki (47), began dating in 2011, and welcomed Angelo in 2012. They were married in 2018, and they announced their separation in April 2019. Adele filed for divorce in September 2019, a few months after the couple tied the knot. The divorce was finalized in March 2021.
