Sarah Jessica Parker has spoken out about misogyny, hair color and gender discrimination. Her friend Andy Cohen has commented on her comments. Here are their comments on aging gracefully in Hollywood.

Gray Hair Hatred

Parker and Cohen were recently seen enjoying a meal at the Big Apple. These photos are a useful microcosm of Hollywood’s double standards. Parker was criticised for his gray hair and looking old while Cohen did not face the same criticism. It's clear that these attacks are gendered, considering Parker is only three years younger than Cohen.

Parker spoke with Vogue to discuss the photograph. She described the double beauty standard surrounding gray hair with eloquence: "There's so many misogynist talkter in response to our request that we would never. Happen. About. A. Man." She said Cohen has a full head of grey hair and is "exquisite." Is it OK for him to do this? "I don't know what I can tell you, people!"

Parker turns her attention to social networks: "It almost feels like people don't want to be completely okay with where they are as if it almost seems that they enjoy us being hurt by who we are today...I do know what I look. Cohen Expresses Support

Drew Barrymore and Cohen sat down to discuss Parker's misogynistic criticism. The Real Housewives honcho said, "All of the articles were titled 'Sarah Jessica Parker' and 'She's getting gray' and he agreed with Drew Barrymore that this was unacceptable: "Here she is sitting next me, who's grey, and people just missed it completely. It was so misogynistic.

Beauty Standards Abound

Look at tabloids to confirm what Parker and Cohen are saying. These rags make their living by attacking celebrities' bodies. Everyone is either too old, too large, or too small. Tabloids will attack anyone who has plastic surgery, regardless of the reason. It doesn't matter if someone does age naturally like Parker. They will still be subject to vicious attacks and rumormongering.

Cohen, a man with gray hair, will be called a silver Fox. Hollywood doesn't have a silver fox status for women. Maybe projects like and Just Like That will help to change this.
