Big Brother Blowout: Who Survives Pressure Cooker HOH Comp and How Does It Change Game?

Big Brother Blowout: Who Survives Pressure Cooker HOH Comp and How Does It Change Game?

Big Brother 25 is a grueling endurance contest not seen for 18 years. New alliances are formed and immediately questioned, making it the most important Head of Household ever. So who will win and be nominated to evict?

After the dust settled from the second edition of Big Brother, a new Household Head was chosen and two players were evicted. But is that actually the plan?

It's safe say that early-game alliances have died and gone after the eviction on Thursday of Hisam, which officially destroyed The Professors. New alliances are constantly being formed, but they haven't been tested yet, so this is a moment of make-or break for everyone.

Everyone calls the "Pressure Cooker", a competition that is iconic. We wonder, then, why it has been 18 years since this game was played. Why wait 18 years to play it? If it is so iconic, then why did some of the Houseguests have been toddlers when Kaysar made his worst deal ever?

It came back in a more brutal form. This one was played inside, mostly in darkness, and not outside. It was much more disorienting. The event took place after a full day of Thursday, just after the live broadcast.

It was a matter of will and endurance. Both of those things and the focus. One slight twitch could knock your hand from your button as the clock ticks. The competition was so simple. Hold the button down as long as possible.

Felicia, the outgoing head of household who was not allowed to play in the game, also had a long evening. She had at least something to watch, even though there was no sound.

Pressure Cooker Reveals

Like any competition that lasts long enough, you can learn a lot as time goes on and people start to talk and drop. We learned who was still trying to play in the middle.

Matt has admitted that he quit on purpose in this case because he is not yet ready to reveal his true cards as a competitor threat. Cory, who has basically forfeited all comps this season, was not as subtle when he dropped later. He reached right up with his button hand to adjust his hat. Everyone was too bleary to make any serious interpretations.

Most people left because of stupid mistakes. The dominant power alliance is having Jared, Cirie and Izzy as the first three people to leave the house. It's not that they threw the ball, but it's remarkable that all of them left -- and mother-and son didn’t even make it to two hours.

The overall competition continued to drag on, and the show was able to close in on the 14-hour run that the original Pressure Cooker had. This one, which was a mere four minutes short of the original record, had no idea that anyone in the room knew how long it took.

In the same order, contestants received prizes (or penalties). Mecole, who was in the worst situation because her hand rose up when she was swatting a fly, was devastated.

She was the third-to-last contestant, and she left America and Cameron alone in the room, while she dashed out to the bathroom. The Pressure Cooker Room was empty because HGs waited until the third elimination before they left.

Cameron seized the opportunity and offered America and Cory, her budding showmance, safety. He told her things would get dirty in the coming week and that he was ready to do whatever it took to make them happen. This deal would keep the girl squeaky-clean.

Mecole arrived before they had finished their conversation, but she took the deal and dropped out 19 minutes later. The HGs' times and their rewards/punishments are listed below.

  • Jared [New Friends] Snakes are revealed in the room
  • Cirie [Sixer] 6-pack of beer as we wait to exit
  • Izzy [Concert] 3:55 not specified as to what this means
  • 8:35 - Bowie [Pressure Cooker] literally
  • 9:40 – Matt [Callback] releases flies into the room
  • 10:08 - Red [Paramount Plus] home entertainment system
  • Cory [Have Not] PB&J this week (choose two to join)
  • 12:44 – Blue [Money] $1000
  • 12:50 – The sewage smell is released into the room.
  • Mecole [Dinner party] (choose three to join)
  • 13:49 – America
  • Winner - Cameron

Alliances & Poker Faces

As The Handful and The Professors fell apart in the past two weeks, new alliances are forming everywhere. Who's in which alliance and are they real?

There are a few solid Final 2 deals, and a couple showmances. Cirie and Jared are supposed to be in the Final 2, but it seems that things have gotten a little rocky as Jared is getting closer to Blue, his showmance.

The duo Cameron and Red were given a name by the BBC this week. They formed a bond immediately within the House. The Chillers are Red and Cameron, who have been working together since Cameron won the Head of Household title.

Izzy's reaction when Cameron won Pressure Cooker was not as you would expect it from an Alliance member. Izzy is the only member of this House who has no chill about their facial expressions. She shouldn't play poker.

This makes her a liability for her two main allies, Cirie and Felicia. Jared is there, but this seems to be more about the trio trying to keep Jared alive as he's a mess and distracted by Blue.

Cirie pointed out that the core trio was part of so many alliances. They should have been protected everywhere. Izzy's face could have cost them the protection they should have had.

Jessica Alba's husband Cash Warren reveals why they split four years into their relationship

Here's a breakdown of their alliances for now:

  • Bye bye bitches!
  • Seven Deadly Sinne (Cirie) -- Cirie only participates half-heartedly.
  • Legend 26 (Cirie) -- Cirie claims this is a Lie to keep Cameron, Red and Bowie near.
  • For Real For Real

The plan is to give Legend 25 more weight (at least in their eyes) with Cameron in the position of power and Red at his side. Cameron is paying close attention to Izzy because of her sketchiness, but only for her.

He ultimately went with the consensus of the alliance that Jag and Blue were the biggest competitors -- even though we have no idea on what basis this was based -- and placed them on the Block. He is keeping his options, however, open.

Mama Cirie should sit her daughter Izzy down and show her how to cool the f****** out with her face, before she causes trouble for everyone. While she's at, give her son a good smack because he has his mind on something else and not the game. She is over here, working hard to only have others jeopardize her game!

Houseguest Report Cards

Ciriefields (53, nurse) has so many shields built around her, she is protected from all sides. We suspect that some see her as a strategic threat, but they are more concerned with bigger threats. She excels at this, as she can fly so boldly under the radar and still pull strings. They're letting it happen. [Grade: B+]

Felicia cannon(63, real-estate agent) was the best thing that could have happened to Cirie in this video game. She now has a strong ally and someone in a similar position, as a woman of a certain age in the house. They have become quite the savvy pair, navigating the game from behind the scenes (though they are not as well hidden as they would like). [Grade: B]

America Lopez (27) (medical receptionist, 27 years old) struck a deal with Cory to keep her out of sight and safe this week. She is a good competitor but she has not been tested in that area, so there aren't many people watching her. She seems to fly solo in the house despite being a member of the Legend 25 Alliance. [Grade: C+]

Mecole Hayes (30 years old, political consultant), almost won this one. She's like America in that she is proving to be a true competitor while keeping her secret game close. It's difficult to tell what allegiances she might have, because of her stoicism. She doesn't reveal much about it in her confessionals. She's safe for the moment. [Grade: C+]

Catelynn Baltierra and Tyler Baltierra Discuss OnlyFans' Success: "She's pimping me out!" (Exclusive)

Cameron Hardin (34) (stay-at-home father) is a rising star this week. But he remains a threat even after this week. He is targeting former allies, and putting his faith in the Legend 25 faked alliance. If he does not go rogue this week and target Izzy, then he could be a target next week. He must work hard to turn fake into real or find new friends. [Grade: C+]

Matthew Klotz (27) is a deaflympic gold medalist who seems to have a strong bond with the three power players in the house, Felicia and Izzy. This could be a game changer. Since Reilly's eviction he has been a real wild card, as he only really gravitated towards her in a meaningful manner. He could make a big difference in the game as it progresses... but we'll just have to wait. [Grade: C+]

Cory Wurtenberger (21, college student) continues flying under the radar early in the game as a non threat. There are many people who have him in mind for the second phase of the game when the middle pack begins to stand out as the early flameouts leave them exposed. Then, he will have to show up so that we can see his true potential. [Grade: C]

Red Utley (37,000 sales) has risen dramatically in this week's sales thanks to Cameron taking power and his skills of observation. His only weakness is that he does not have all the numbers. He's a good player and a great reader of people. But he needs to make it more of a social presence in order to solidify himself. [Grade: C]

Bowie Jane Ball (45, barrister/DJ) is like a balloon. [Grade: C]

Ariana Madix Slams Bethenny Frankel for 'Hurtful Interview' with Rachel Leviss

Jared Fields (25" exterminator, 25) scares us because he's getting too close with Blue. That's when men get stupid. We've all seen people give up their games to save a showmance. And we can see him doing the same. In his case, however, it would be more than just a game that was destroyed. Can Cirie keep the boy in line with her? We're not sure. He has been acting a bit stubborn with her lately, being sullen and pouty. [Grade: C]

Izzy Gleicher (32, professional flutist), has to learn how to use her face. She is able to convey every thought she has in her mind with her facial expressions. People are beginning to take notice. We actually believe that Mama Cirie would keep Jared's secret out of respect and love if she was to leave the house. A couple of weeks ago, we weren't so sure. For her own sake she should calm down. [Grade: C+]

Blue Kim, a brand strategist (25), finds herself in the Block. She is not the main target at the moment. She's also a liability for the trio as she distracts Jared. Cirie could decide to end her son's relationship, even if Cameron doesn't agree. Blue's destiny may not be in her control this week as she thinks. [Grade D+]

Jag Bain (25-year-old truck company owner) has proven to be a personable and competitive competitor. Cameron is moving the house in order to eliminate any perceived threats to his competition. It's a coincidence that the last two HGs who were evicted had won, and Jag now has one. [Grade: D]

  • I think Izzy doesn't care about our interests. --Red (in DR)
  • "I do not pledge my loyalty lightly." --Jag (to Cameron)
  • "I would never lie, or do anything stupid or shifty. I wouldn't even try to be sneaky. It will ostracize the whole house if I don't act now. The line would be even more pronounced if I did not do it." --Cameron
  • Do you know what I'm going to be doing next? --Jag
  • "Yeah and I believe you also know." "I can't emphasize enough that it's the game, not this situation that is forcing this move." --Cameron
  • This move is fair to me. What happens, happens. "It's never too soon for interesting outcomes." --Cameron (to Blue)
  • "We're at the bottom of her list of trust, but we are also on her list of targets." "We are on the bottom of her trust list, but at the top of her hit list." --Cameron to Red (about Izzy)
