Chrissy teigen takes her colon health very seriously, and believes that her fans should do the same.

The 37-year-old former model shared Wednesday that although her first colonoscopy went well, it was a little too fast for the mother of four.

"I feel great and just woke up after my colonoscopy, but it only took 20 minutes." Teigen told her fans that she wished it had taken longer, because it was an excellent nap. She did this in an video posted from the hospital bed an hour after sharing a selfie of herself before the procedure with caption "Time 2 Check out That Ass."

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, colon cancer screenings should be done every 10 years for people over 45. However, earlier and more frequent screenings are also recommended.

Teigen's colonoscopy comes just a few weeks after the Cookbook author revealed that it would be her very first. She also stressed the importance of more people making the procedure a routine.

She explained, "There will be a huge increase in colon cancer among people of my age or even younger because we do not get checked." "And we don’t get checked because no one tells us to." You believe that it is your parents who are checked.

Teigen added, "I will be having my first colonoscopy on Monday because my doctor told me that more and more people are developing it and should get it checked sooner and earlier."

She also added that colonoscopy preparation shouldn't discourage people from getting a checkup.

Teigen stated, "You always hear about the crazy drinks that you must drink the night prior." It's very intense, and there's cramping. You have to be prepared to have the camera in your butt.

"But now it can be pills. "Now I must take these pills and a sip water after each pill, then a gigantic thing of water," concluded the woman.

After a few short hours, Teigen was back in her normal life. She shared an Instagram Story video of her and Luna filling pink boxes with Barbie dolls and various treats.

She captioned her video, "We LOVE goodie bags."
