Dannielynn Birkhead, the 16-year old daughter of Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead, looks stunning in a sunflower print dress, accented with her mother's jewellery, as she attends the Kentucky Derby 2023, assisted by Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.

Dannielynn is having a ball at the 149th Kentucky Derby, with her father Larry Birkhead. The 16-year old daughter of Anna Nicole Smith managed to squeeze in a private lesson with Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.

She looked great with her big hair and sunflower dress. Her mother had also given her a matching crystal bracelet and necklace. Larry dressed his daughter in a light blue suit.

Larry posted a message on their Instagram page showing his love for Richie. He took the time to fulfill his promise to give the teenager a private lesson. He shared a clip of her performing Janet Jackson's song "Black Cat", but he cut out the audio.

Dannielynn, however, was clearly enjoying her experience. She even had on her glasses to be able to see everything perfectly.

Dannielynn & Larry shared a number of charming moments while honoring Anna Nicole and celebrating their annual Kentucky Derby trip. Anna Nicole passed away in 2007, when her daughter was only five months old.

Larry also had to work hard, as the voluminous dress of his daughter was too big for airlines. "Be honest, I had to drive the dress from Florida because it was just too large to check in on a plane." He told People. "This was a full production."

Dannielynn attended the Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve Gala on Friday. It was all about their love for Anna Nicole, who died in 2003. Larry and Anna Nicole met for the first time at this event in 2003, when Larry was a young photographer covering it.

Dannielynn, a daughter of Anna Nicole, paid tribute to the woman who raised her in a black skirt and matching blouse decorated with images from Anna Nicole’s Guess campaign. Larry's tie featured the same campaign.

Larry, just before the event, told People that "we're both paying homage because it's our 20th anniversary." He said of their daughter: "She is showing off her style while paying tribute to her mother."

Larry said, "It feels like yesterday that I was walking with my camera bags, hoping to get a decent shot." "I ended up with much more." Funny how one event can transform your life. "This party changed my life."

He continued, "My life would be very different if I had never been there and made that connection. I wouldn't have met Anna or had our daughter."

He told People he has saved every outfit Dannielynn wore to the Kentucky Derby, calling it "our Met Gala." It's the one event they attend every year since she isn't "out there" in public.

Larry admits that although it's not a Met Gala-level event, the stakes for him and his daughter are "higher" every year. "People ask me, 'What does Dannielynn wear? "Are you going to match?" He shared. "The dresses are getting more and more expensive."
