3. Ocean Spray Original Crains
Dried fruit has a higher sugar content than fresh fruit. Ocean Spray Original Craisins added sugar to the product to sweeten the deal, increasing its sugar content by 29 grams per 1/4-cup serving.
Instead of putting sugary craisins in your next salad, choose fresh fruits or low-sugar varieties.
4. Quaker Instant Oatmeal Apples & Cinnamon
Quaker Instant Oatmeal Apples & Cinnamon may appear to be a healthier option than a donut but it contains 12 grams of sugar. The label on the package's front is just a marketing stunt.
Quaker offers low-sugar options that can reduce the sugar by up to 35%. If you like the simplicity and delicious taste of this breakfast favorite, It is easy to make a batch at-home and it is an excellent way to control the sugar content.
5. Dannon Fruit on the Bottom Yogurt
A delicious snack made from the sweet and jammy fruit bits at the bottom of a creamy cup of yogurt. This variety has 21 grams of sugar per 5.3-ounce serving. That's equivalent to two doughnuts.
You can reduce the sugar content by switching to Greek yogurt alternatives such as Chobani Probiotics, which contains no added sugar.
6. Tropicana Original No Pulp Orange Juice
Orange juice is the most popular breakfast drink. It's not all sunshine and rainbows. Orange juice is high in sugar. One eight-ounce glass of Tropicana Original Orange Juice has 22 grams of sugar.
You don't have to stop drinking orange juice for good, but you can limit the amount you drink. You can substitute orange juice with TRUE ORANGE water enhancer powder. It contains less than one gram of sugar per cup.
7. Bear Naked Fruit And Nut Granola
Granola is a popular topping for yogurt, so it's not surprising. Granola is crunchy, sweet and delicious. If you're not careful, yogurt can easily be a sugary treat. This sweetener won't do any good if you add half a cup.
Half a cup bear naked fruit and nut granola will have 13 grams more sugar if you are careful about measuring. Ladera Granola has only 3g of sugar per 1/4 cup, so if you still want this delicious treat, you can give it a try.
8. Gatorade Fruit Punch
You will regret all the hard work you have put in to your workout if you decide to indulge in this sugary treat. Gatorade Fruit Punch is a 20 ounce, sugar-free beverage that contains 34 grams. This is equivalent to three donuts.
You might also consider natural electrolyte beverages, like Harmless Harvest coconut water. There are also electrolyte drinks without sugar. Ultima Replenisher is a favorite.
