Geena Davis Gets Choked Up Detailing How Bill Murray Allegedly Berated Her on Film Set

Geena Davis Gets Choked Up Detailing How Bill Murray Allegedly Berated Her on Film Set

"He had the chance to really put me in my shoes and really shame him."

Geena has gone into greater detail about Bill Murray's alleged mistreatment of her on the set of "Quick Change" in 1989. She first addressed the matter last fall in her memoir, "Dying of Politeness."

The actress from "Thelma and Louise" was on "On with Kara Swisher", where she shared her memories of her legendary career and talked about her experiences with Murray in the film.

FYI: Davis is just one of many actors to have made claims about Murray recently. You can find more information at the link below. Geena has not yet responded to his comments.

"The first day of filming, we were shooting a large scene at an intersection in Manhattan with hundreds and thousands of extras and huge crew. David recalls that they said, "We're ready to have you come to set." "And I replied, "Well, costume's asked that I wait here for a second. Do you want me to do that? "The AD replied, "Go ahead, wait there."

"Seconds later Bill Murray, dressed in full clown costumes, crashes into the trailer and starts shouting at me and swearing at my face. What the f--- is he doing? Move! Move!'"

She claimed that he "got behind" her, and continued screaming in her ear until they reached the set.

"We get to an intersection where hundreds of people are watching, and he keeps going until he says, ‘Stand there.’ and points at a spot on the pavement. He then starts shooting," she said, adding that she was literally shaking when he asked her "What's your problem?" It's all fine.

"It wasn't necessary. It wasn't urgent for me to go there. He had the chance to really put me in my position and really shame me," she said, before becoming choked up and getting audibly emotional. It still, just talking, actually, it's very emotionally for me because it made me feel so ashamed for someone who wants to do the right thing.

She also said that she was ashamed that she didn't speak with her manager and agent about the alleged behavior during lunch.

Swisher shared with her how Murray pressured her to use "The Thumper", a giant massage device, on her after she met him as a producer and co-director in a hotel suite.

He said, "Lay down here. Davis said, "I want to try it on you." I keep saying "No" to the point that I would have to shout at Davis, "Stop f---ing asking him! It is not what I do. Do you understand?' This was something I was too scared to do. So I sat on the corner of my bed and let him do it. He didn't even ask me how I liked it. It was just to see what he could do to force me to do something.

She said that no one else was doing anything in the room, but she hoped they would "come on Bill, give up."

She said that he did it because she had just won the Oscar. He also said that he told others he was concerned about hiring her in case I believed I was all that.

She said, "That was his first exam and evidently I passed,"
