The Globe reported that George Clooney's "wanderlust” lifestyle was "creating new marriage crises." In September, the Globe reported that George was trying to increase his property portfolio by buying a few new European properties, but was having difficulty getting Amal to join him. Amal apparently wanted a more settled lifestyle, and was happy to remain in the U.S.

According to New Ideas, Brad Pitt is the perfect person to be a negative influence on George. Amal became concerned when Pitt began preparing to make another movie together. The tipster said that they "never saw eye-to-eye, which drove a wedge among the two friends."
