Her mother is not sure who the 54-year-old suspect is.

A young mother from Texas found a tracking device in her car two weeks back and was found dead.

After making the disturbing discovery, Abigail Saldana (22 years old) posted a video on her Instagram.

She explained that the magnetic device was stuck under her rear bumper and "this was literally on my vehicle like this." This is why you need to be cautious... I don't know what to do. This certainly looks like a tracker to my eyes."

She took the device home and opened the protective case in an ill-advised act. "So this is crazy, you guys... Who would ever do such a thing?

Two weeks later, the mother of one was gone.

Fort Worth police responded to reports that a car had crashed on Amon Carter Boulevard Tuesday night. They found the 22-year old in her silver sedan and stopped it on a grassy verge near the road.

She was shot once. The bullet went through her right arm and her back.

Saldana was declared dead on the spot. Saldana's death was ruled a homicide.

According to Fort Worth Star-Telegram a 911 caller reported that the car was speeding along the highway, before suddenly veering off. They also said that the rear windshield looked like it had a bullet hole and that there seemed to be no one in the vehicle.

On Thursday, police arrested 54-year-old Stanley Szeliga for murder. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bail.

Detectives stated that they are investigating whether the tracker is connected to him. They haven't revealed the motive.

Tracy Carter, a Fort Worth police officer, stated that there was a tracker attached to the vehicle. "We don’t know how long this tracker has been there. This is something that our detectives are investigating."

Jessica Contreras, Saldana’s mother, said that her daughter knew that she was being followed and had taken photos of a car that she thought was following her. She also managed to get down the license plate after finding the tracker.

She claimed she encouraged her daughter's to report the incident to the police, but she doesn’t believe she did.

She told the Star-Telegram that she didn't know where she was going on that night. "We received a text at 6:30 that night and the shooting took place about two hours later."

She claimed she doesn't know who Szeliga was.

Contreras said to Fox 4: "I don’t know the connection between these two but apparently he had followed her."

She added, "When I received the phone call regarding the arrest this morning,"

"He cannot hurt anyone, and he will have to explain to me why he took our daughter. I won't stop. I will fight, and I will fight. He took my pride. He took my joy."

Saldana, originally from Wichita Falls had moved to Dallas with her son, five years ago.
