Pom Klementieff, who plays Mantis in the film, said during the press conference: "It is like grieving... you can't stop it."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. Pom Klementieff, the star of "3", opens up about a moment when she broke down in tears over the end of the Marvel trilogy.

James Gunn, the director of the film, told the story of Klementieff during the virtual press conference held on Friday. He recalled how the actress "burst out in tears" while he was on a flight with Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, and Klementieff.

As usual, the story was full of humor, just like the rest of the "Guardians".

We are on the airplane. You know Chris. Chris is a clumsy idiot, okay? Gunn started by jokingly jabbing Pratt. "He's coming in. We're about to take off. There's a cupholder there. He does not put his cup in the cup holder. He places it on the armrest."

Klementieff also commented that the bag is "very expensive" as well as "very unique."

Gunn joked that perhaps Pratt "has never been on" a flight as the coffee that he spilled on the armrest ruined Klementieff’s "expensive and beautiful purse we have all been complimenting since a week."

He said, "Pom is a bit irritated by Chris as she should be." "We clean it up and then, I don't remember, we fly for another, maybe 10 minutes."

The filmmaker claimed that Klementieff suddenly "bursts in tears."

"And she says, "I'm suchsad." Chris and I looked at each other, and said, "You really screwed it up," he added. "We thought that she was upset about her purse being wet."

Gunn continued as he became emotional. "I feel that something is ending."

Klementieff wanted to "hide" in the bathroom to let her tears flow, but Gillan had been in the room at the time.

It's funny, I wanted to cry in the bathroom because it was like mourning. You know, it comes unexpectedly and you can't stop it. It's beautiful, too. You know, sometimes it just happens, and you can't control it. I couldn't hold it in, so I hid in the bathroom and cried, but Karen was there.

Gunn joked that Gillan had been in the bathroom for "a long time" and was "definitely doing a No. 2."

"I burst out in tears!" Klementieff laughed and added, "It's a No. 1!"
