Jeremy Renner First On Camera Interview After Snow Plow Accident: Trailer for Diane Sawyer Special

What will my body look like? Are I going to look like a spine or a brain? Renner thought back to what he was thinking as he learned the extent of his injuries.

Jeremy Renner will be appearing in his first interview on camera following the snow plow accident.

Trailer for "Jeremy Renner": Diane Sawyer Interview - A Story of Terror Survival and Triumph. 52-year-old actor from "Avengers", shares his story about how he was pulled from heavy machinery weighing 14,000 pounds. He also discusses his recovery and the effects it had on his family.

In the two-minute teaser, Renner tells Diane Sawyer that he chose to live. I'm not going to die. "No way."

According to the Washoe County Sheriff's Department on January 1, the "Hawkeye” star was airlifted from his injury clearing snowfall at his home in Mt. Rose Highway. The actor was exiting the snowplow when he noticed that the emergency brake system wasn't properly applied and began to slide towards his nephew, who was directly in the path of direct impact. Renner tried to save his nephew by stepping up on the track to stop the plow from going straight towards him.

Actor "Mayor of Kingstown", revealed that he was not only able to recall the pain of being hit by a car, but also that he was "awake for every second" of the experience.

His nephew, who "didn’t believe he was still alive", recalled running to his uncle, who said he was lying in a pool of blood from his head.

Renner can be heard crying in pain during a 911 call by a family member. His family encouraged him to "keep breathing" as well as "keep fighting".

Renner described the clip as "the sound of someone dying".

Sawyer described the severity of his injuries. He said that he had broken 30 bones and that he had suffered eight ribs in 14 places.

Renner laughed as he learned the extent of his injuries. He wondered what his body would look in the aftermath. Renner recalled thinking, "Am i just going to look like a spine? And a brain like science experiments?"

Although the accident was very difficult for Renner and his family, he has no regrets in stepping in. He told Sawyer that he would do it again.

The actor said, "I would do it again." "Because it went right at my nephew."

Renner took to Instagram Tuesday before the trailer was released to thank his daughter Ava for her help in recovering from her 10th birthday. Happy 10th Birthday !!!! He wrote that he was so proud of him in all aspects. "Your hugs, and your love have made me feel so much better. You have made me stronger and I stand up for your cause. I am your Father, your protector, and you are my only. You are my Daddy.

ABC will air "Jeremy Renner: Diane Sawyer Interview – A Story of Terror Survival and Triumph" on April 6th at 7 p.m. PT. You can also stream the hour-long special on Hulu or Disney+ the next day.
