"There are nights when I cry myself to bed," said the reality TV star who shares North, Saint, 7, Chicago 5, and Psalm 4, with her ex-husband Kanye.
Kim Kardashian has opened up about her life as a mother of four.
People published a preview of an upcoming "On Purpose With Jay Shetty" episode on Saturday. The 42-year old reality star described the challenges she faced while raising her four children.
Kim, who shares North, Saint, Chicago, Psalm and Psalm with her ex-husband Kanye, described parenting as a "really f---ing difficult" task, admitting there are nights when she even cries to sleep.
What was your original vision of what parenting would be like? How does it compare to what you actually experience?" Jay, 35, asks at the start of the video, to which Kim replies, "Everyone always says that the days are long, but the years are few, and this couldn't possibly be true."
"So, you know, it's crazy when you are in there, especially when the babies are little and you have to feed them. She said, "It's full-on madness." It's chaos at its best.
The "Kardashian" star continued, "You have no idea how my mornings are going. "I always have to do my daughter's hair, and it must be perfect, and it must be a certain way. And then this needs for me to put on his shoes and they all require you. ... It's full-on madness. Cooking, running about. Like, it's wild."
Kim continued to say that parenting was "the thing which has taught me most about myself."
She said that it was the hardest thing she had ever done, and added, "There are some nights when I cry myself into sleep." What just happened? With all the moods, personalities, and fighting sometimes, there is no one around. It's just me playing both good cop and bad police. "That's definitely a challenge."
SKIMS' founder stated that the "only thing [she] could describe" about parenting was "really f---ing difficult." She did note that it is "the most rewarding career in the world."
Kim said, "There's nothing you can do to prepare yourself." "... "... I don't mind what you are waiting for. You're never prepared. You will get through it.
Hulu's star admits that she and her children "go hour by hour" to determine if they will survive the night.
She added, "If you have a tantrum, your whole life will be turned upside down." It teaches you more about yourself that I don't think any parent could have anticipated.
Kim concluded by saying, "There is nothing that could prepare you for such an experience." This is the most rewarding and challenging job on earth.
The complete "On Purpose", episode will be released on Monday.
