Meghan Markle may have left the royal family, but sources suggest that she could still be being dragged into their scandals. Markle might be called by an attorney in the Prince Andrew sexual assault case to testify. She might have "important information" about the prince's behavior.

Markle is 'Somebody we can count on to tell the truth'

David Boies, who represented Virginia Roberts Guiffre against Prince Andrew in her case, could seek to depose Duchess-of-Sussex as part of the civil lawsuit against him. Boies stated that "She is someone we can trust to tell the truth." The Daily Beast. Many people are curious if Markle is legally allowed to testify. But Boies has a list that means he can call Markle to the stand.

He listed, "One; she's in the U.S., so we have jurisdiction over them." "Two": she is someone who was, at least for a time, a close associate with Prince Andrew. She is therefore in a position to possibly have seen what Andrew did and, if not, to have heard others talk about it. She may have valuable knowledge because of her association with Prince Andrew in the past.

He continued, "Three; she's somebody we can trust to tell the truth." Markle won't be appearing on the witness stand anytime soon. Guiffre must first get through Prince Andrew's motion to dismiss before any depositions are allowed.

Attorney Will Depose Many Near Prince Andrew

Boies plans to depose Markle and Prince Andrew. The attorney stated that Andrew would be required to testify under oath. Boies stated that "he has no other way to escape that." Boies also suggested that up to 12 third parties could be deposed including Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of the prince.

The attorney stated that he would likely ask for one to two depositions from Andrew's close friends who would be aware of his actions. His ex-wife could be one of them. It could also be his brother." Boies was asked if Prince Harry could be deposed. He replied that he would be available to depose as long as he was in the United States, and therefore under the jurisdiction of American courts. However, he wouldn’t depose the Duke or Duchess of Sussex.

Boies still considers Markle as a possible plaintiff in the lawsuit. However, he made it clear that he has not made any concrete decisions. Markle has not publicly commented on her possible involvement in the lawsuit.
