Pedro Pascal Was 'In Shock' After Being 'Spit At' During Road Rage Incident

Pascal said to "Beef's" Steven Yeun, "It humbled and shocked me. It scared me a bit. It disturbed me." This was during a discussion for Variety's series "Actors on Actors".

Pedro Pascalrecalls a recent road-rage incident, and it is safe to say that he had a grossaltercation with a stranger angry on the road.

The "The Last of Us'" star, while chatting with "Beef", star Steven Yeun for Variety’s "Actors on Actors” series revealed that he had been "spit on" the day before their conversation. He explained what led to this heated encounter, and how he responded.

Pascal once asked Yeun during their sit-down interview if anyone had shared personal road rage experiences following the Netflix release of "Beef," which is a dark comedy that centers on a road rage episode that causes a feud between strangers.

Pascal told Yeun that he would like to tell a story, which happened just the day before.

"Yesterday, was a day. ... "I was in the car yesterday from 11 am in the morning until 11 pm at night," said the 48-year old actor, before he admitted,. It was my fault. "I've been responsible for three incidents in the past two months."

"But yesterday I cut someone off to get in their way." Pascal went on to say, "I didn't cause an accident." I saw an opportunity and got in. This person didn't really want me to do it. I moved out of the way and went into the left turning lane.

Pascal noted that the person "started laying on the horn" and that he had just let them get it out. The "Mandalorian's" star said that his sister was sitting in the passenger seat and, after a few moments, she heard him say "Oh my god!"

Pascal said to Yeun, "I looked over and I saw a big glob, like it was put there by visual effects, man. It's just dripping from the side of the window." "And my sister said, 'F ---!'"

Yeun, shocked, demanded more information. "Holy s---. What, from the driver side? He just gave you a hard loogie?" Pascal replied, "Spit on me."

Pascal said he was "in shock" when asked about his reaction. He added, "It did not trigger any anger out of me." It was like, "Whoa, I think I really crossed a boundary." I thought I was only getting into the [left-hand] turn lane."

"It humbled and shocked me. It scared me a bit. It disturbed me," said Yeun. "It did not make me angry."

The "Wonder Woman" star admitted to being "quick to rage," and Yeun agreed. He then added, "I wonder, if you're conscious about not reacting negatively to that person, you're recognizing that they're trying to connect to you in someway."

Pascal laughed and said that it "made him feel guilty".

Yeun responded, "Yes, particularly yesterday." Yesterday, I was flipped off.

Here's the full interview between Pascal and Yeun, which includes their discussion about their respective roles in "The Last of Us," and "Beef."
