Supply chain problems making certain products more difficult to obtain make it even more important to be vigilant at the grocery store, especially considering that a number of products were recently recalled. There are many reasons behind recalls. These include undeclared allergens and previously unknown cancer risks.

After testing batches of blood pressure medication, the pharmaceutical company responsible for it found higher than normal levels of a carcinogenic component in one batch, the drugmaker recalled the product.

Flower Foods, makers of Tastykake Krimpets and Tastykake Cupcakes, also issued a recall following a warning from their vendor.

Organic hummus brand has also been recalled. Although the hummus contained chickpeas as was to be expected it also contained another ingredient that was not disclosed on the package. This led to an allergy alert.

You can either toss the product or request a refund if you have any of these products. You can read more about that below.
