Former host called the workplace "toxic."
Sara Haines and Whoopi Goldberg don't seem too concerned about Meghan McCain's desecration of "The View."
When asked what she thought about leaving the NY set on Thursday, Whoopi responded "Nothing" The 65-year old replied with a shrug, "Alright," to the claim that her former colleague claimed the workplace was "toxic".
When asked if her feelings were hurt or positive, Whoopi nodded her head.
Meghan McCain on Why She Would 'Probably Lose’ If She Runs for Office
"You know, my goal is to fix my hip and leg," she said, gesturing to her cane. "I don’t have the time to think about anything except myself."
When Whoopi was asked if McCain would be welcome back or if she's "persona non-grata", She diplomatically replied, "You'd have to talk to the adults," and pointed her cane back upstairs.
"You know what? I'll let all that s--- go to the... sorry, that's all I'll do. "
Sara Haines also shared these sentiments, and stated that McCain's harsh remarks towards the talk-show were not upsetting.
She said that everyone's got their own trip, their journey, their experience and she could not relate to the criticisms the conservative offered.
Haines said, "I love this spot, it's been so good to me." "She doesn't want to work here anymore, she's moved on."
Sara couldn't help but smile when Sara spoke about the "toxic" workplace environment.
McCain's audiobook, "Bad Republican", was released on Thursday. She also spoke out about her tenure as a talk-show host.
McCain wrote in her book, "In my four-years there, I was subject to plenty of shade -- too many to even begin to describe -- and then, I also experienced more toxic and direct hostility."
The 37-year old shared that Whoopi had promised John McCain that she would look after Meghan once she joined the show. She also said that she had kept her promise for the first two seasons.
McCain claimed that Goldberg and the rest of her cast and crew began to hate her after Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election. This was due to Goldberg's Republican party identity.
"As Trump's country became more dangerous, Whoopi, Joy, and other staff members began to be less kind and forgiving. She continued, "It was almost as if they had made me an avatar of everything they disliked about Trump." It felt like my co-hosts and staff knew only one Republican, me. They took all of their anger out on me even though I wasn't a Trump voter.
