The "Vanderpump Rules” star was also quizzed about the revelation that he hadn't spoken to or seen his children in four years, during an appearance on WWHL.
Scheana Shay's fiancée Brock Davies is talking about his "toxic" past marriage.
The personal trainer and the cast members met at Lisa Vanderpump’s house towards the end Tuesday's episode. Brock, 31, opened his past marriage to Lala Kent, who had asked questions about it earlier. He also admitted that he once "slapped” his ex-wife.
"I am an open book, and I want you guys to understand that I have a past. Brock told the group that he has learned from every mistake he made before Lisa and he left for a private discussion.
Brock spoke to Lisa and admitted that he wasn't proud of "some things [he] did".
He said to Lisa, 61, "The person that I am today isn’t the person I was 10 year ago." I tried to have a short conversation with Lala. I thought she would understand. It's more complicated than just me walking in front of my children and kicking them out. My relationship with my ex was toxic. And I did slap the partner. That's what I did. That's not something I am proud of."
Brock said that the restraining orders his ex-wife had filed against him weren't in response the domestic incident. Brock shared additional details in confessional.
"I was 19 when we got into an argument. I slapped her. We moved to France after that. He recalled that after my little boy was born, they split up. "Then we discovered that we were expecting our little girl. This led to an argument between me and her father, who pressed for the domestic violence order against me.
Brock said to Lisa that they had separated and she took my children away. "I had to appeal the decision and go to court. It was overturned after we went to court.
On an earlier episode, it was revealed that Brock hadn't spoken to or seen his children Eli and Winter in four years. He shares them with his ex-wife. Lisa asked Brock about why he couldn't see his children if the domestic violence orders had been lifted.
"When I left Australia to pursue the dream of doing better for my family, during that time of me being here, they were still with their stepdad. They started a new life. He shared that they had their lives in Australia and that his ex-wife had remarried and had a child with her husband.
Brock began to cry and get emotional. He continued, "I feel like I don't have the right to feel these feelings because my children, they're those who missed this."
Lisa asked Brock the most important question: How much does he love Scheana.
Brock shared 6-month-old Summer and Scheana. "She's everything," Brock said. "Deep down she brings out the best in me, and that's what my family and everyone want."
Scheana, 36 years old, stood by her man all through the episode.
Andy Cohen interviewed Brock about his separation from his children on Tuesday's episode "Watch What Happens Live".
Brock, who was joined on the show by Scheana, said that he FaceTimes his children but not right now. ... They have a great stepdad, their mother and that's their entire family. It's the hardest part of trying to reconnect right now, and that's what got my in trouble trying to explain it all.
He said, "It's more than a simple breakup." "This was seven years ago, and we have been through it ever since. It's been an issue, and I have to respect my ex-wife and the children.
Former professional rugby player revealed that his ex-wife (whose identity has not been disclosed) has prevented him from talking to or reconnecting with his kids. She said that if you can fix this child support issue, we will be able to have more in-depth conversations.
"And you haven’t fixed that up?" Andy asked Brock, and Brock responded, "We are almost there, but not yet."
Brock stated that he had last spoken to his wife before the premiere of Season 9 on Vanderpump Rules. He said, "Look, this is what I need you to do to prove that you are a better person." You want to be a part of the children's lives. First, make sure you take care of child support. Then we can discuss after.
Andy continued to question Scheana about whether her past "concerns” her.
She explained that she knows who he really is and what his heart is like. "I know that he has done the hard work to get where he's at now and I don't worry about his past. "I believe that people can always grow."
Scheana and Brock began dating in November 2019. After Scheana's miscarriage, the couple announced their engagement in October 2020. Scheana and Brock had baby Summer in April 2021. They were engaged in July.
"Vanderpump Rules” airs Tuesday night on Bravo.
