She also took a sip from her martini to respond before calling out McCain's spouse for his "mean tweets" about her.

The Hot Topic during Sunny Hostin and Meghan McCain's appearance together on "Watch What Happens Live" was Meghan McCain's recent article criticizing "The View."

Hostin appeared as a guest in the episode of Thursday night, when she was asked about McCain's piece she wrote for the Daily Mail where she claimed that the show was "continually getting worse". She also criticised the show in the same article for allegedly avoiding topics of news "because of scandals that have occurred with my co-hosts." She also accused the other panelists, of treating her "horribly," after she returned from maternity leave.

Hostin grabbed the martini in front of her and said, "Oh, I'll take a sip before answering the question."

What can I say?" I haven't read the article. She said: "I've heard of it, and our show is wonderful." Andy Cohen pointed out that ratings for ABC series were currently "great."

She continued by saying that she was "surprised to see" some of McCain's remarks.

She added: "I know that her husband has been known to tweet mean things about me. But Meghan and I are still friends." This was a reference to Ben Domenech, McCain's other partner, who in recent posts on Twitter called Hostin "racist" with "a brain the size of a gerbil high on meth."

Hostin continued to say, that although she does not believe McCain is still doing television, she believes she would be an excellent hire for Cohen's franchise of "Real Housewives". Andy also agreed that she would be a great fit for Potomac, or any other franchise. Hostin concluded by saying, "I hope she does well." We're all really happy to be on the show. We're a really cohesive group, and God bless."

McCain announced in July 2021 that she was leaving "The View", after almost four years as a daytime talkshow host. McCain revealed in her book "Bad Republican" that she quit the show because she didn't like how Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg treated her off camera.

Meghan stated that Sunny was "the only castmember I have a personal relationship with" in May 2022.

She added, "I love her and have so much respect for her." She's really good and she didn’t demonize my like a lot of people did. For whatever it's worth.

Hostin also played a game on WWHL in which she revealed that Ana Navarro, Joy, and Joy are the two cohosts making the most "shady comments" under their breath. She said Whoopi is the most generous giver and the one she most disagrees with and who passes gas on the set the most.

Sara Haines, she said, was the punctualest. She then joked that Joy had probably the longest list guests who she would never want to return.

Behar was also voted as the person she thought would be "most helpful" to have at her side during a disagreement.
