Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows made claims about former president Donald J. Trump. President Joe Biden responded. Meadows wrote in the Chief's Chief that the former president had tested positive for COVID-19 a few days prior to his debate with Biden. This put the current president at risk of contracting the deadly virus. Biden, who has never hidden his distaste for Trump's actions, replied to the allegations.
Mark Meadows will soon publish his memoir about his experiences in the White House of former President Donald Trump. This book includes claims that Trump was more likely to have COVID-19 than previously reported.
Meadow's forthcoming book the Chief's Chief claims that Trump tested positive for coronavirus just three days before his debate with Joe Biden. Between his first positive test, and the debate, Trump is said to have attended multiple in-person political events including one attended Gold Star families.
Trump Responds to Book's Claim
Trump also visited New Jersey and Minnesota, and attended many political rallies. Trump was quickly diagnosed with the virus after he took several tests. One of those tests returned negative results. Trump denied the claims of his former chief of staff and stated in a statement that he had never been tested for COVID. A test showed that I didn't have COVID before the debate.
Despite Trump's denials, Joe Biden was recently questioned by reporters about the news that his predecessor had put him and others at risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus.
President Joe Biden Responds To Claims
When asked by reporters whether he felt Trump had put him at risk in their September debate, Biden replied dryly, "I don’t think about former President," before stepping out of the room.
Later that day, Dr. Anthony Fauci (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director) answered questions on the same topic and stated, "I certainly wasn't aware of his test positivity.
Fauci answered further questions about whether the ex-president had placed the current president at risk. However, I would suggest, as I have said, that you should be quarantining your self if you test positive for the virus. This book will contain insights into the White House's inner workings and the coronavirus response. It will be available on December 7.
