Kevin Costner was the actor who revealed his embarrassing encounter with him while working as a mall Santa...before he got hot sauce in his eyes.

Will Ferrell bravely returned to Hot Ones for the viral holiday extravaganza's Second Annual Holiday Extravaganza... almost going blind.

He was the first actor to appear on the show in 2020. Although he started off well and managed to keep his composure during the first half, things quickly turned sour after he had some hot sauce in his eyes.

Ferrell spoke out about his past as a mall Santa Claus, before he made it big on Saturday Night Live.

Evans told him that he did this in his starving acting days. He was Santa, and Chris Kattan was my Elf. Before sharing his worst and most memorable moment on the job, he said Evans.

Ferrell said that children approached them while they were working and stood near the entrance of a cosmetic shop with a coyote statue in front. He continued, claiming that Kevin Costner was hiding under a hat and was "very incognito" as they looked up.

Ferrell revealed that the children were crawling on the coyote and Chris couldn't stop himself from saying, "It looks like your dancing on coyotes... it looks almost like you're Dancing with Wolves."

Costner then retreated as the pair had breached his cover.

Ferrell struggled to keep his cool in the heat. He answered questions about his comfort playing small parts on "SNL" as well as reflecting on his most memorable moment on the show.

He then cried and said he had put hot sauce in his eyes. Then he grabbed a towel and rubbed it with ice water before applying the towel to his face. "Am I gonna lose my eyesight?" Before he could finish the game, he asked.

Evans thanked Ferrell for taking on the "Wings of Death" on two occasions and presented his guest the Hot Ones Spirit Award. Ferrell, despite not being able to open his eyes, was delighted by the honor. He joked, "Every morning, when I wake up I'm going to look at it with one good eye."

The episode lasted nearly 42 minutes and featured an award ceremony for 2022 guests, including Viola Davis, Bear Grylls and Bear Grylls. It also served as a fundraiser to Common Threads, a nonprofit that provides nutrition education and cooking classes to children and families to promote healthy lifestyles and contribute to overall wellness.
